How to Write a Book in 6 Weeks in Your Spare Time

I’m the author of 14 books, two of which became New York Times bestsellers. Therefore, people often ask me how I became so prolific, despite having a full-time job. In addition, my publishers have often asked me how I write my books so quickly. I tell both of them that I have a “secret formula” for writing books (or articles) quickly and easily. Since telling people about my secret method, I’ve had countless folks dedicate their books to me because, to their surprise, the method worked amazingly well for them.

Before I reveal my simple method, it’s important to understand that there are four modes of writing. I’ll call them 1) “Forced Writing” 2) Edited Writing. 3) Sloppy Writing and 4) Flow Writing. By understanding how to use each of these categories of writing at the right time, a book can easily “pop” out of you in as little as six weeks.

First, let me explain what “Forced Writing” is, and how to best make use of it. Many writers force themselves to write, but find that it often feels like they’re hitting their head against a wall. If you’re going to force yourself to write (or hit your head against a wall), it’s important you do it as little as possible. Writer’s block is rarely remedied by prolonged, painful writing sessions. Yet, if you don’t occasionally force yourself to sit down and write, you may never write anything. What to do?
